About Burnished Finish Block

A burnished block is a CMU with a surface that has been ground down to reveal the mix of sand, gravel, or crushed stone it is composed of. This surface can then be treated and sealed to both protect the block and enhance its natural textures.

Echelon’s standard Burnished Finish pre-finished architectural concrete blocks are available in gray as well as numerous integrally colored hues and texture finishes. Burnished Concrete Blocks may include pre-consumer recycled content and integral water repellant admixture to repel moisture and resist mold.

Subasic, P.E., LEED A.P., the course will introduce attendees to sustainable design and provide an overview of the LEED Rating System, and its credit categories, with a particular emphasis on Materials and Resources, as well as covering criteria and considerations used in selecting masonry products for LEED projects.
