The new consolidated Echelon® Masonry brand, encompassing a vast portfolio of masonry offerings, was officially launched at the 2016 AIA Convention, held May 19-21, in Philadelphia, Penn., highlighting the Echelon commitment as a true one-source masonry provider for the architectural community.
“The launch of the Echelon brand simplifies, unifies and magnifies Oldcastle Architectural’s complete masonry portfolio, making it easier to identify, select and purchase from a brand customers know and trust,” said Ken O’Neill, EVP, Sales, Marketing & Product Development, Oldcastle Architectural. “Architects and designers, who are looking for the latest innovations, can rely on Echelon as a single source for all of their needs, including high-performance premium block, masonry, veneers and a systems approach to wall systems that save time, labor and costs. With more than 150 locations nationwide, our footprint is unmatched – offering architects the time-tested performance of Oldcastle with local service support both at home and abroad.”
The show also provided an opportunity to launch the new Westpeak™ Stone line of lightweight veneers, the latest addition to the Artisan Masonry Veneers® line, which offers a full collection of both thin and full-depth veneers. Allowing for quick installation and requiring no additional footings, Westpeak Stone offers clean, contemporary lines with no mortar joint. Manufactured with Echelon’s patented dry-cast system, Westpeak has a natural stone look with integrated color throughout each masonry unit.
More than 800 companies and 20,000 attendees joined Echelon at the show, which is the premier national event for the architectural community each year. A highlight of the show, Echelon sponsored the giveaway of a Toyota Prius c®, which was won by Si Huang from Gerald J. Caliendo, R.A., A.I.A., of Briarwood, N.Y.
Other Echelon products showcased at the expo included Trenwyth®, Quik-Brik®, Amerimix® preblended mortars and grouts, and Performance Upgrades such as InsulTech™, EnduraMax™, and Rainbloc™ wall systems.
