Echelon™ Masonry joined forces with Belgard® hardscapes to showcase a variety of Oldcastle® Architectural Products at the NAHB® International Builders’ Show held in Las Vegas January 19-21, 2016, premiering two new Artisan Masonry Veneers®: Kensley Stone Thin Veneer and Westpeak Stone Thin Veneer.
Kensley and Westpeak are the latest thin masonry veneers from the Artisan line, joining Hillcrest™ Stone Thin Veneer, which launched in early 2015. All three styles of thin veneer are manufactured with Echelon’s patented and revolutionary dry-cast system, which creates a natural stone look with integrated color throughout the entire depth of each masonry unit.
With the addition of the new Kensley and Westpeak styles, Echelon now offers a versatile range of aesthetic options in lightweight veneers, all of which require no footing, install quickly and easily, and are ideal for both interior and exterior application in residential or commercial construction. Hillcrest Stone offers a modular stacked stone look with a tight dimensional tolerance. Kensley Stone features a traditional ashlar pattern with a 3/8” mortar joint and is designed to emulate natural limestone. With unit size heights of 2.5” and 3”, Westpeak Stone offers clean contemporary lines with no mortar joint. Each style is available in a range of colors for the utmost in design flexibility.
In addition to the Kensley Stone and Westpeak stone launches at the trade show, Oldcastle also showcased a variety of products from both the Echelon and Belgard lines in an expansive outdoor booth that garnered a tremendous response throughout the event. The booth was designed to simulate the walkthrough of a residential property, beginning with a driveway that led to a miniature home with a mock garage, then around to a backyard outdoor kitchen and living area.
Belgard pavers were used in the driveway and patio areas, with Belgard retaining wall products used for end caps and seat walls. Kensley Stone veneer was used for architectural accents on the exterior of the “home” and “garage”, and Westpeak Stone veneer was used to construct a chimney.
One of the highlights of the booth, Belgard showcased the new Midnight trim option of the Belgard Elements Bordeaux Series. These modular kitchen and living room units are constructed in a factory setting and shipped in sections to create the custom look of on-site construction for a fraction of the time and cost. The trade show display included the Bordeaux grill station, brick oven and fireplace with wood boxes. The Bordeaux series is constructed using Echelon products from the Artisan Masonry Veneers® line, using Lamina® Stone for the structure and Cordova Stone™ for the trim.Back to News
