The Echelon Masonry product line ended 2016 with a collection of accolades from major architectural publications, as well as a variety of industry professionals.
“These recognitions are special to our brand because they come from industry peers who see the value in our newly consolidated masonry portfolio. In addition, they help energize our entire team as we begin the new year,” said Ken O’Neill, EVP, Sales, Marketing & Product Development, Oldcastle Architectural. “To win product honors for both InsulTech, our masonry block wall performance system, and our new lightweight veneer collection offers validation that Echelon is helping answer market needs.”
In the December issue of Architectural Record magazine, the publication named the InsulTech Insulated Concrete Masonry System as one of their “Record Products” in the Facades Category for 2016. The Record Products are a collection of the best architectural building products of the year, as judged by a distinguished panel of architects and specifiers based on criteria including innovation, functionality, and aesthetics.
InsulTech also ranked number 20 in the Building Envelope Category in Building Design & Construction’s Top 101 Products published in December, based on reader inquiries and editor input.
Echelon’s product kudos continued in December with a win in Architectural Product magazine’s Top AP50 Readers Choice awards for the Artisan Masonry Veneers collection of Westpeak Stone lightweight veneers in three popular colors. The AP50, now in its 14th year, is based on readers’ responses to the most intriguing products for architects.
Earlier in the year, InsulTech received an industry nod following the 2016 American Institute of Architects (AIA) conference held in Philadelphia in May when Architizer named InsulTech as one of their Top 25 picks for best products at the tradeshow. Founded by architects for architects, Architizer is an online resource center for architectural design and product recommendations.
In addition to the recognition by Architizer following the 2016 AIA tradeshow, InsulTech was also named a finalist in the Stone, Concrete, and Masonry category of their 2016 A+Awards. Finalists were chosen by a jury of design-savvy professionals that includes prominent members of the architecture community, as well as notables from the technology, art, fashion, and design industries. Winners are then selected through public online voting.
